Alliance for Democracy AFORD says assertions by Democratic Progressive Party regional governor for northern region Christopher Ngwira are not part of alliance terms as such should not be taken seriously
Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, AFORD publicity secretary Amatollah Malauwa, come following Christopher Nzomera Ngwira’s sentiments during a political rally in Rumphi Central constituency where he said AFORD should not field a candidate in the area which fell vacant following appointment of Enoch Chihana as the country’s second vice president.
According to Ngwira, doing so would be part of saying thank you to the state president for appoint the afford president to the third highest position in the country.
However, the afford spokesperson, says Ngwira made the assertions in his own capacity to show that he is doing something for the DPP adding it will not work as the constituency belongs to Aford.
