Missing Malawian albino boy found dead in Moxambique

A child living with albinism who went missing in Dedxa has been found dead in Mozambique.

Confirming the incident Dedza police deputy publicist constable Cassim Manda said the victim was abducted by Vuto Biswick 26 of Chimoto village T/A Kaphuka in Dedza and Emmanuel Robert 20 of Kadambala village T/A Kachere in Dedza.

” It is true that the body has been discovered and the suspects are in police custody,” said Manda.

The body has been discovered only days after UN Independent expert on rights of people living with albinism rated Malawi Xero in as far as protection of such people are concerned.

She visited Malawi to assess the situation after noting that cases of albino abduction and killing are increasing despite conducting awareness campaigns and sentencing the convicts to serve a jail term.
