Commissioner Yusuf bids farewell to Malawi Police Service

Commissioner of Southern region police Silaj Yusuf has bid farewell to Malawi Police Service MPS with a call to police officers to maintain discipline

The call was made during a farewell ceremony to Commissioner Yusuf who has served 35 years in MPS

Speaking during the ceremony at Limbe police training school in Blantyre the retired commissioner for southern region police said the day was the most memorable to him

He advised police officers to work hard and respect leaders so that they serve many years and get promotions like he has done

On this note he congratulated Mrs Chikondi Chingaza for taking up the mantle hence urging all police officers to support her

The retired commissioner expressed worry on escalating cases of defilement therefore called on police service to intensify security.

“I encourage junior officers to further their studies to enhance their skills and knowledge,” Yusuf

In her remarks acting commissioner for South West Mrs Chikondi Chingaza commended Yusuf for the hard work rendered to MPS adding he is a good example to emulate
