Social Cash Transfer beneficiaries to access energy through ACCESS project

Beneficiaries of social cash transfer in Machinga are expected to access energy following the launch of a project called Accelerating Commercial and Community Energy Supply Sustainability ACCESS

Speaking during the launch at Machinga District council United Purpose energy project coordinator Mayamiko Minofu said the targeted people will receive solar light and revamp solar lamp markets.

“There are over 13,500 social cash transfer beneficiaries in Machinga district who will benefit from the program,” Minofu said

Minofu said the project which started this month in 15 Traditional Authorities of Chamba, Kawinga and Mkula among others is expected to end in 2022
