Two cash gate convicts Macdonald Kumwembe and Pika Manondo have applied for bail at Supreme Court of Appeal.
The court has set 2nd October to hear the application
Manondo the business person and Kumwembe the former Malawi Defence Force soldier were convicted on charges of attempting to murder Malawi’s former budget Director Paul Mphwiyo.
The third convict in the case Raphael Kasambala was released from Zomba Maximum prison in 2018.
