Malawi Vice President Everton Chimulirenji has arrived in Japan to attend Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7) from August 28 to 30, 2019.
According to Minister of foreign affairs Francis Kasaira among other projects, during the conference Malawi will talk about upgrading Chileka airport and construct Mtayamoyo Bridge in Nsanje.
Kasaira said if upgraded Chileka International Airport will accommodate more international planes.
“Malawi delegation is expected to review the projects approved in TICAD 6 in 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya which include dual carriage way in Lilongwe and upgrading Domasi Teachers’ Training College,” hhe said
The Vice President is scheduled to hold a number of side meetings with various high level dignitaries including Executive Director of Global Fund, Peter Sands.
The 2019 TICAD7 will be held under the theme ‘Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future’.
