Suspected robber hacked to death

An angry mob has hacked to death the suspected robber in the early hours of today at Khama in Machinjiri Township. The man who was in a gang of 9 people met his fate when they went to rob residence of a Mr. Mulinga who stays near Khama market in the township. An eye witness said the gang arrived at the house around 2 am and broke the main entrance, stealing some assorted items.

They escaped safely but when the gang went to the house again it seriously injured three family members in the house including the owner.

However, the owner shouted for help attracting a lot of people who braved captured the deceased. Later an angry mob beat him who sustained deep cuts, three on the head and one on the left upper arm. The body of the deceased which was naked was left on the scene till this morning.
