Enact laws for our benefit, youth tells Malawi Parliament
Young people in the country have asked Members of Parliament to consider priotising legal documents that would develop them. The call was made in Lilongwe during a dinner which was organised by Youth Consultative Forum YCF with funding from Plan Malawi.
Speaking during the dinner National Coordinator for YCF Edward Chileka Banda said youthful parliamentarians that have just been elected should use their status to improve welfare of Malawian youths.
Banda said they are mainly concerned with fewer resources that are allocated to cater for youth programmes among others. He added that they are lobbying legislators to allocate 10 percent of the national budget to youth programmes.
