Enumerators Petition President

Enumerators of the 2018 population and housing census have written president professor Peter Mutharika on their allowances.

The enumerators that petitioned the president are those that conducted the exercise in Ntchisi district.

Responding to this, National Statistical Office NSO has asked enumerators who are yet to receive their honoraria to exercise patience, as the office is processing their payments.

“Out of the 24,000 enumerators, only 1000 are yet to get paid as there were problems with bank accounts,” Manda said.

He has meanwhile asked for patience saying they will receive their entitlements soon.
