LWB donates K500, 000 to MISA Malawi

Lilongwe Water Board LWB has donated a cheque worth five hundred thousand kwacha to MISA MALAWI.

Speaking during the handover ceremony of the Cheque this afternoon, LWB Chief Executive Officer Alfonso Chikuni said, they realized the crucial role that media houses play in the country hence giving them the money so that they achieve their plans.

“There is need for MISA MALAWI to have a better working environment for smooth running of their Programs,” Chikuni said.

In her remarks, MISA MALAWI Fundraising organizing Committee Chairperson Edith Tsilizani expressed gratitude towards the support saying it clearly shows good partnership between the two organisations.

Tsilizani said “our organisation has a plan to build an independent office hence sourcing funds saying so far they have managed to raise 9 million kwacha but their target is 30 million kwacha.”

She therefore called upon all stakeholders and other well wishers to support them with the little they have.

Tsilizani said MISA MALAWI will continue conducting various activities to achieve the intended purpose
