Malawi president launches Integrated urban water and sanitation project.

President of Malawi professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has launched Mzimba Integrated urban water and sanitation project.

The water project, kick starts construction of the Mombera University in Mximba.

Speaking, Mutharika has asked Mbelwa district Council to take proper care of the infrastructure, which will serve millions of people.

“I assure the council that funds will be sourced for the construction of a new dam in Mxuxu,” Mutharika said.

On Tuesday 25 July State president Arthur Peter Mutharika commissioned Chitipa Water Supply Project.

Speaking during a function Mutharika said the project will bring portable water to residents of Chitipa district.

“The project is one of several development projects which DPP led administration has lined up for the Northern region,” said Mutharika

He said time when the north was considered dead is gone as his government is fulfilling all promises it made three years ago when it was voted back to power.
