President Professor Peter Mutharika has announced that government will cover all funeral expenses of five young people who died in a road accident at Senzani in Ntcheu district, on Friday
The deceased have been identified as Elivacy Matamando Muyaba, Wilfred Kupengule Jnr, Vincent Mkwinda, McFarlen Banda and Raphael Chitsonga.
In a condolence message released on Saturday, the President said he and the First Lady were heartbroken by the loss of the five young people
“They were instrumental figures whose passion helped shape Malawi’s future over the years,” Mutharika says
He said their passing is a devastating blow to the nation as a whole, as it has left a significant void in the country’s cultural fabric.
