Malawi National Examinations Board MANEB has announced that for the first time it will start administration of national examinations with Junior Certificate of Education Exams JCE instead of the usual Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education Examinations PSLCE
MANEB Public relations officer Angella Kashitigo says JCE Exams will begin on 1st June 2026 while PSLCE on 8th June and Malawi School Certificate of Education MSCE exams on 29th June
Kashitigo says the change aims to provide time for primary schools to complete their syllabus
“MANEB has made the change following a directive from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology,” says Kashitigo
Government announced that all candidates in Public Primary and Secondary Schools will not pay fees for examination and identity card in 2026 exams
