Post elections analysis by Center for Human Rights Rehabilitation CHRR has revealed the abuse and misuse of state resources by Malawi Congress Party MCP during campaign period.
The analysis has also disclosed that MCP used state owned vehicles to transport supporters and abuse state resources like public broadcaster.
Speaking during a media briefing CHRR executive director Micheal Kaiyatsa said despite that the law provides that parties should disclose source of their funding, some political parties fail to disclose the sponsors
CHRR has therefore recommended provision of more resources to office of registrar of political parties so that they fully enforce the law.
