Department of Disaster Management Affairs in the office of vice president has announced that disasters mainly stormy rains and flash floods have affected 10 councils since the onset of rainy season
Commissioner for disaster management affairs Wilson Moleni has said a total of 969 households approximately 4360 people have been affected
“One death caused by lightning has been recorded in Neno district and reports from affected councils further indicate that ten people have sustained various degree of injuries,” says Moleni
Public relations officer for the department Chipiliro Khamula says currently the department is reaching out to the affected with food and non-food items
