Malawi Prison Services MPS has received a donation of food and non-food items from Mennonite central committee to be distributed to all prison stations.
The donation includes beddings, canned chicken, laundry and bathing soap, towels as well as rehabilitation tools.
In an interview MPS spokesperson Steve Meke said “the donation will promote rehabilitation, reformation and community reintegration process as well as cutting healthcare cost.”
He MPS holds close to 17000 inmates across the country
