Global Fund donates Medical Supplies to Malawi

Global Fund has donated medical equipment and vehicles worth 5.3 million Dollars to Ministry of Health

The Ministry has handed over the donation to Malawi Defence Force, Malawi Police, Civil Society Organisations, Mzuzu central hospital, Kasungu District hospital, Bwaila and Mangochi hospitals as well as CHAM.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony Manager for Global Fund and Gavi project implementation unit in Ministry of Health Doreen Sanji said the organisation will continue supporting the country in health service delivery

Sanji say Malawi is on the right track in proper use of the resources hence the support

Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda advised stakeholders to strengthen health financing strategies amid funding suspension by USAID.

Chiponda believes that this will help the sector to generate more resources and become independent.
