Mathanga appointed DPP Elections Director

Democratic Progressive Party DPP has announced the appointment of Dr Jean Mathanga as national director of elections effective 1^st January 2025

Mathanga has replaced Gladys Ganda who was elected on the position of national director of elections at DPP convention last year

Ganda was later appointed advisor of DPP president Peter Mutharika following her remarks she made at a rally which president Lazarus Chakwera held in the lower shire

She apologized to DPP saying she made such remarks because of the situation at the rally

Mathanga was the former commissioner of Malawi Electoral Commission
