CFTC receives Award on Consumer Protection

Competition and Fair Trading Commission CFTC has been recognized by winning a global award for its work in consumer protection

The award is co-organised by International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network and World Bank with the aim of showcasing good practices in implementation, enforcement and compliance matters regarding consumer protection

The award is based on the action which CFTC took after receiving a compliant from a woman regarding pieces of glass in detergent paste manufactured in other countries

In a statement executive director of the commission Lloyds Vincent Nkhoma says this is the third time that CFTC has received an international award for its outstanding work in competition enforcement and consumer protection
