African delegates discuss solutions to water challenges in Malawi

Authorities from different African countries are meeting in Blantyre, discussing solutions to challenges affecting water sector.

Opening the meeting Minister of Water and Sanitation, Abida Mia proposed finding innovative and effective solutions to emerging challenges rocking the sector.

Mia expressed worry on floods, droughts, landslides, and pandemics that have disrupted supply of water to people in many African countries.

” I am hopeful that the 3^rd Africa Water Supply and Sanitation Conference will come up with strategies for communities to be accessing safe and reliable water,” Mia

The theme of the conference is ‘Adaptive Regulation-Addressing Emergent Issues.’
