Four New Malawian Judges Sworn in

Four newly appointed judges in Malawi have been sworn in on Monday 26^th August 2024.

They include Registrar of the High Court and Supreme Court, Justice Kondwani Banda, Justice Madalitso Khoswe Chimwaza, Justice Trouble Kalua, and Justice Edna Bodole.

The swearing in ceremony has taken place at Kamuzu Palace where President Lazarus Chakwera called on the new judges to demosntrate effectiveness and fairness in their duties to ensure justice is served to the people

Chief Justice Rezine Mzikamanda welcomed the appointments, expressing confidence that they would enhance the judiciary’s efficiency.

The four new judges were appointed by President Lazarus Chakwera on 2^nd July 2024.
