Malawi President has left the country to Mozambique, Zimbabwe
Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has left the country Wednesday morning to Mozambique for a two day official visit in Maputo
Speaking to reporters before his departure to Mozambique Chakwera said was invited by Mozambican president Filipe Nyusi to hold bilateral discussions.
Chakwera said he will have talks with Nyusi on matters of mutual interest and sign agreements in several areas of cooperation.
Thereafter Chakwera will proceed to Zimbabwe to attend the 44th ordinary summit of SADC heads of state to be held on Saturday 17th August 2024.
Vice President Dr Michael Usi was present at Kamuzu International Airport when the president was departing the country through a Malawi Airlines plane.
