Malawi embarks on 2019 PEW strategy Review

Government of Malawi in collaboration with partners has embarked on a process to review the 2019 political empowerment of women PEW strategy

Secretary for gender community development and social welfare Dr Nertha   Semphere Mgala says the ministry will develop a successor which will run from 2024 to 2030

Mgala says the successor strategy aims to provide direction and guidance that would increase representation of women in presidential, parliamentary and local government positions and remove all barriers that prevent women’s participation in political space

The launch of the PEW strategy will take place in Dedza district on Tuesday 13^th August 2024
