Mutharika challenges Chakwera to extend International Trips cancellation Period
Former President Peter Mutharika has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to extend the period of his cancelled international trips and reduce the number of ministers as well as presidential advisers in order to rescue Malawians
Speaking to journalists at his page house in Mangochi Mutharika said it’s a pity that the country has a president but not a leader.
He said Chakwera’s state of national address is full of lies and questioned the rationale behind devaluing the kwacha at a time the prices of basic necessities are skyrocketing.
Mutharika said DPP never misreported anything to International Monetary Fund and compared prices of commodities from 2020 to now adding Malawians are dead and buried under Chakwera administration.
Speaking on shortage of forex, Dr. Dalitso Kabambe said government is using unnecessarily the dollars hence creating an imbalance of forex in the country.
He advised government to start growing the economy by investing in production of goods that can be sold outside the country.
