Ministry launches Nutrition Project
Ministry of health has launched a project to improve nutrition among children, adolescent girls and women
Speaking during the launch principal secretary Beston Chisamile said the ministry has received 5 million dollars to implement the five year project from this year to 2028
Chisamile highlighted that the project will address nutrition gaps among marginalized and hard to reach communities
In his remarks project director for Kmauzu University of Health Sciences Dr Kondwani Katundu said the higher learning institution will equip health care professionals with nutrition knowledge and supply medical supplies to sick children
The project will be carried out in five districts namely Mangochi, Mchinji, Mzimba, Lilongwe City and Blantyre City targeting 200, 000 children, adolescent girls and women
