AIP Format Change Saddens Agriculture Expert
An agriculture expert has expressed sadness with the change in format of the Affordable Input Program.
This has been said by Tamani Nkhono Mvula a day after the ministry of agriculture announced that the program will reach out to 1.5 million down from 2.5 million last year.
Mvula says, the trimming of the beneficiaries and the amount of fertilizer may affect the countries harvest which may result in food shortage.
According to Tamani Nkhono Mvula government should ensure that the roll out and the implementation should be done as soon as possible to avoid facing problems that program faced last year.
Last year the program faced network as well as late delivery of inputs to farmers
