President to return from UNGA Monday
President Lazarus Chakwera will return to Malawi on Monday 2nd October from United States where he attended 78th United Nations General Assembly UNGA
In a press release Ministry of foreign affairs the aero plane carrying the president and the first lady Monica Chakwera is expected to land at Kamuzu International Airport at half past 7 in the morning
In his address at United Nations General Assembly Chakwera asked rich member countries to cancel the debt which Malawi and other poor nations have
While in America the President among others secured 42 million dollars for social cash transfer which aims at improving lives of poor Malawians
However various quarters of society had pleaded with Chakwera not to go to UNGA because the country is going through economic challenges
