MLS Challenges Lawyers to End legal profession Challenges

Malawi Law Society MLS has challenged legal practitioners to find lasting solution to challenges facing the legal profession

President of MLS Patrick Mpaka said this during the supreme court of appeal 2023 memorial sitting aimed at remembering 39 lawyers who died since 2009

Mpaka told the legal practitioners that the public expects high standard of justice administration

In his speech Chief Justice Rezine Mzikamanda said the departed law experts contributed exceptionally to development of law and justice delivery

Mzikamanda directed to have a permant record of those proceedings in that court and clearly put names of fallen law practitioners in an honours register

Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda challenged the lawyers to renew their commitment to the pursuit of justice

Nyirenda urged the legal practioners to recall the significance of unity within legal community for effective justice delivery

The memorial sitting is held after ten years and the previous one was conducted in 2009
