Police Officer Accidentally Shots At Bank

Police report indicates that a police officer working at Salima station fired a shot in the air accidentally as he was performing rifle safety precaution measures

The report has identified the officer as inspector bannet Cambikwa and the stray bullet fell on the roof of national bank which is 150 metres from the office

As a result the bullet pierced through the roof and ceiling hence hitting two customers who are businessmen Wesley Malenga 50 and George Bakali

A visit to the scene found a small hole on the ceiling but the bullet was yet to be found and the empty cartilage was recovered

The victims were referred to Salima district hospital for medical examination and treatment
