HIV AIDS Vaccine launched in Malawi
Malawi has launched HIV AIDS Vaccine with hope that the country will meet the 2030 goal of ending the public health emergency
Speaking during the launch of Long Acting Injectable PrEP deputy minister of health Halima Daudi said administration of the Vaccine will begin with Lilongwe and Blantyre targeting 38 health centres
According to Daudi the two year project is expected to reach 10, 000 people in the two districts
Speaking at the same function one of the officials from PEPFAR hailed Malawi for registering strides in the fight against the pandemic
Apart from PEPFER the initiative is also receiving support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to a tune of 15.6 million Dollars
