Tanzanian president in Malawi for 3-day state visit

Tanzanian president Samia Suluhu Hassan is in Malawi for a three day state visit

Suluhu has visited Lilongwe civic centre where she thanked Malawians for their warm welcome

The Tanzanian president will be guest of honour at Malawi’s 59^th independence celebrations and visit one of the places that were devastated by cyclone Freddy in Blantyre

Suluhu is the 6th and first female president of Tanzania

She belongs to the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party
