DPP NGC endorses Mutharika’s Presidential candidacy

Democratic Progressive Party DPP National Governing Council has endorsed Peter Mutharika as Presidential candidate for 2025 elections.

The delegates approved special mini-convention to be held in December, 2023 and an elective conference to be held in July, 2024 to elect all members of NGC and President who will serve for the next five years.

During NGC meeting in Mangochi the delegates constituted Disciplinary committee that will be dealing with intra-party squabbles that may come time to time

Addressing the delegates Mutharika asked them to deliberate freely the proposed policy documents presented by functional review committee as they are crucial for the future of the party ahead of the coming elections and beyond.

Presenting the committee’s findings and proposed recommendations member of the committee Charles Mhango said in 2020 DPP established a Functional Review Committee to review every aspect of the party’s structures, functions and activities.
