Malawi commemorates international youth day

Young people have been urged to follow with keen interest matters surrounding sustainable development, production and consumption.

National Coordinator for Youth Consultative Forum YCF Linda Harawa made the call ahead of the International Youth Day IYD which falls on 12th August annually.

“Malawi’s population comprises youths hence their failure to follow these matters will have negative impact in their future,”said Harawa.

The International Youth Day will be commemorated under the theme “The Road to 2030, eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable production and consumption.”

Among others, young people hold audience with government officials and other stakeholders in youth related matters on this day.
