Supreme Court grants stay of High court judgment on DCs transfer

Supreme Court of appeal has granted a stay of execution of a judgment by the lower court pending of the appeal on transfers and redeployment of district commissioners

Judge Dingiswayo Madise has granted the stay after Malawi Local government association MALGA applied to the Supreme Court

Madise said he made that ruling because he received a response from local government association but not attorney general

He therefore ordered to file summons within 7 days, hear them within 14 days and enter appeal with registrar of the court within 21 days
