Civil Servants to hold strike in Malawi

National Organisation of nurses and midwives of Malawi NONM has backed the intended nationwide strike by civil servants

NONM has made the sentiments as civil servants plan to hold the strike from Monday 9^th January 2023

President of NONM Shouts Simeza says through engagement with civil servants trade union CSTU and Teachers union of Malawi TUM, NONM has learnt of the concerns raised by the two unions leading the strike

“NONM fully supports the concerns such as disparity between cost of living and earning capacity of the majority of the two unions,” Simeza

After noting the letter regarding the strike government negotiating team invited CSTU and TUM to a meeting on Friday 6^th January 2023
