Malawi hosts African bar association conference
The African bar association conference is underway in Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi
Speaking during the opening of the conference chairman of Malawi Law Society Patrick Mpaka said as Africans can come together and aim at reflecting matters of common interest, share knowledge and experiences
Mpaka said that it is the first time that Malawi Law Society has been entrusted with that kind of continental affair to host Africa Bar association conference
“Africa is full of expertise that can deal with various challenges rocking the continent if utilized well,” Mpaka
In his speech president of African bar association Hannibal Uwaifo said the organization is ready to send expertise to all countries to deal with various challenges facing people in the continent
Addressing the gathering president Dr Lazarus Chakwera said the conference is in line with Malawi 2063 agenda
During the opening of the conference various leaders and legal experts received prizes for their outstanding performance in various fields
