Malawians demonstrate against rising cost of living

People from all walks of life are marching in Blantyre against high cost of living under Tonse alliance government led by Dr Lazarus Chakwera

The concerned citizens led by Oliver Nakoma march from Yianakis round about in Limbe through Masauko Chipembere Highway to Blantyre district commissioner’s office

There was heavy presence of armed police officers with about five police vehicles at the starting point of the protest

Today’s demonstration takes place few days after fuel prices were raised by Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority

Similar protests were held in Zomba by the concerned citizens
