Parliament to release 6.2 billion kwacha covid report after gazetting

Parliament has said it will take time to make available to the public the 6.2 billion kwacha covid-19 funds report which was released by auditor general

Speaking to journalists at parliament speaker of national assembly Catherine Gotani Hara confirmed that her office received the report and was delivered to public accounts committee PAC

Gotani Hara said they will release the report to the public after it has been gazzeted and all procedures followed

“We received the report on Monday but as per procedures the Minister of finance is supposed to table it parliament where relevant committees will make a decision,” Hara

PAC chairperson Shadreck Namalomba said the report will help his committee in investigating the matter

Namalomba assured Malawians that the report will be made available to the public soon
