Chiradzulu hospital staff on strike against poor management

Members of staff at Chiradzulu District Hospital are on strike in protest against poor management of the facility.

According to one of the staff members who opted for secrecy, management has failed to work on issues which they have been complaining for some time.

The member of staff told Radio Islam that the hospital is operating without electricity and patients are receiving one meal per day as well as poor standard.

“The staff members are also failing to reach out to subordinate facilities due to inadequate fuels and grounded vehicles,” Chiradzulu hospital staff member

However he said the hospital workers are demonstrating in order to force the management to consider their problems and make the working place safe for all members.

Efforts to talk to Director of Health and Social Services for Chiradzulu district proved futile as our phone calls went unanswered after several attempts.
