President Chakwera asks African leaders to emulate Magufuli’s works
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has asked leaders of African countries to emulate the work which former president of Tanzania the late John Magufuli has done
Chakwera was speaking at Jamhuri stadium in Dodoma city during the state funeral of Magufuli.
“The work of Magufuli should be venerated in every village and his name preserved in every capital to create the Africa which is wanted,” Chakwera
Chakwera who was among 10 presidents of African countries attending the funeral said Magufuli was not just an icon but a hero
He promised people and government of Tanzania that Malawi and its citizens will provide assistance required
In her speech Tanzania’s new president Samia Suluhu Hassan thanked Chakwera and other heads of governments for attending the funeral service
Chakwera returns home this afternoon.
Magufuli, who was the fifth president of Tanzania, died on 17th March of heart complications.
