Sheikh’s workshop on oneness of Allah in Blantyre

A three day sheikh’s workshop on oneness of Allah has been conducted in Blantyre City, Malawi.

The workshop which was organised by Saudi Arabian embassy in South Africa attracted over 100 sheikhs from Blantyre.

In an interview one of the organisers in the country Sheikh Umar Machelenga said the workshop is aimed at narrowing the knowledge gap that is existing among Muslim scholars.

He said with presence of innovations in the religion it is imperative to engage sheikhs frequently in order to provide them with necessary information so that they reach out to the masses with rightful information.

In an interview Majilis Ulama Council of Malawi secretary general Sheikh Muslim Abas Vinjenje hailed the initiative which he said is very important considering inadequate training facilities for sheikhs in the country.

He commended efforts of sheikhs in reaching out to Muslim community with Islamic knowledge.

In their remarks the participants agreed with sheikhs Mkachelenga and Vinjenje hence thanked Saudi embassy for the training.
