Minister’s security officer arrested over robbery

Police in Lilongwe have arrested security officer of Minister of natural resources because of robbery offence.

Confirming the development, deputy national police spokesperson, Harry Namwaza said Osman Chinsinga is connected to the breaking that occurred at Liberty Properties Company LPC at Njewa

Namwaza says the police had arrested 6 people on suspension that on 13 April they had stolen assorted properties valued at 27 million kwacha at LPC

“Following their arrest the six revealed Chinsinga who works as a personal security officer for minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Eisenhower Mkaka as their accomplice,”

Meanwhile, police have recovered some of the stolen items and impounded a motor vehicle registration number NA 7141 that was used to ferry them from the scene of the crime to area 24 within Lilongwe city.
