Concerned Citizens call for transparency in new passport supplier selection

Concerned Citizens of Malawi have called for fair and transparent process in selecting a new passport supplier and terminate current contract with E-Technologies.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, one of the citizens, Edward Kambanje, says under the contract Malawian citizens have strangled with poor quality passports that fail to meet international standards.

Kambanje has asked Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority to resist any external pressure to award or renew the contract with E-technologies.

He says government should look for alternative service providers that can offer reliable passports which comply with global requirements.
