Government to use middle men in 2020/2021 AIP

Government says it is going to use middle men in the 2020/21 Affordable Input Program AIP.

Responding to questions from journalist, presidential press officer, Brian Banda, said government wants to meet the targeted time.

Banda said should government buy the inputs form the producers they might not find the required fertilizer.

On the 65 million kwacha hotel fee, he said “the state house did not give the money to the hotel in payment of the accommodation of a security officer.”

He said the president has welcomed investigation by ACB on the matter, saying that this is fake news.

On clearing the rubble of corruption he said the president remains committed and that he will not shield anyone.
