King Muhammad the sixth foundation for African Ulama has commenced Quran and research competitions for the year 2026.
In an interview with Radio Islam the foundation’s spokesperson Masrool Daud Abdallah said registration for the Quran competition started on 9th March and is expected to run until the 8th of April 2026.
Abdallah said the competition is open to all saying boys and girls or men and women are eligible to participate hence encouraging them to register emphasizing that the girls should register in large numbers as it has been noted that the turn up of girls who participated in the previous competitions was no satisfactory.
He said that in this year’s competition, the participants will only compete in two categories of 30 Juzz and 3 Juzz a reduction from last year’s 3 categories which included the Warish category.
When asked to explain why the Warish category is not included in this year’s competition, Abdallah said during last year’s competition only had only one participant for the category hence indicating that if people show interest to compete in this category they will consider including it in this year’s competition.
Abdallah added that the competition is held during the month of Ramadhan to portray the importance of the month in as far as Quran is concerned, therefore encouraged Muslims to read the Quran more often, in order to earn more rewards from Allah.
Meanwhile Abdullah said the foundation has not yet received any submission regarding its research competition which commenced on 12 February 2026.
According to King Muhammad the sixth foundation for African Oulama, submission of entries in the competition is still underway until 1st of April 2026 adding that the research will only be done in Arabic.
Abdallah said the foundation is still praying for inclusion of other languages like English and French.
