Mai Halima candidates advised to perform well in 2023 MSCE Exams
Muslim girls seating for this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education Examinations have been advised to double their efforts if they are to perform well.
Limbe Magistrate Court based Senior Resident Magistrate Sajeeda Meiden has made the appeal during Mai Halima Farewell party for the form fours.
Maiden said only when they perform better, can secure a place in various universities since form four is not the finishing line in the academic journey.
While appreciating the improvement on the number of Muslim girls doing well in their professions, Maiden however decried lack of encouragement from role models saying it is among the factors pulling down the girls from furthering with their studies.
She commended Islamic Zakaat Fund (IZF) and other Islamic organization for its continued role of uplifting girl’s education in the country through provision of academic support.
In his remarks head teacher for Mai Halima girls secondary school Andrew Livanga expressed optimism on greater performance during this year’s MSCE examinations.
According to Livanga basing on the previous records the students have been performing well hence believes will beat last year’s performance.
Representative of Islamic Centers Association Emma Tepani pledged total support for the girls that will secure places in various universities.
Overall best student among the outgoing students Rwaida Saidi appreciated the school management and promised to perform wonders during the exams.
She advised her fellow students to maintain discipline if they are to do well in their studies.
