Vice President Sues Inspector General of Police

High court has ordered judicial review of the decision by inspector general of police to increase or substitute security detail of vice president Dr Saulos Chilima.

Chilima applied for the review after police moved 42 officers from his office and Mudi Residence in Blantyre.

Justice Chirwa of High Court is the one who granted the order.

Two months ago the court also ordered police to reinstate the security detail of Chilima at his residences in Lilongwe and Mudi as well as his office.

The transfer of the officers happened after the vice president launched United Transformation Movement.
