UTM Secretary General Arrested

Police has arrested secretary general of UTM Party Patricia Kaliati on suspicion of conspiring with others to commit a serious offence (felony)

Public relations officer of Malawi Police Service Peter Kalaya has confirmed the arrest of Kaliati on Thursday 24^th October in Lilongwe

Kalaya says police has evidence which implicates Kaliati and two others for the said conspirancy

He says details of the serious offence that she is accused of and the individuals she conspired together with will be given out to the public at an appropriate time

Meanwhile Malawi Police Service is hunting for the two accomplices and Kaliati will be taken to court within 48 hours as required by law.
