United Arab Emirates to support Malawi Muslims in various sectors-MAM
Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) says numerous development partners in United Arab Emirates have expressed strong interest of offering assistance to Muslims in the country in sectors of education, agriculture, health and entrepreneurship.
National Chairman for MAM, Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad, disclosed this at Chileka Airport in Blantyre soon after arriving from United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to Radio Islam, Sheikh Muhammad, said the visit has unlocked doors of some of big charitable organizations which have promised to assist Malawi.
The national chairman said he took the opportunities to lobby with them in establishment of Islamic university and a referral hospital the developments which Muslims in the country have been pressing for a long period of time.
On agriculture, Sheikh Muhammad said many organizations have shown interest to invest in agriculture at Gada farm in Blantyre.
On when are these projects going to start, Sheikh Muhammad assured Muslims that they should expect to see the fruits of the tour within this year.
