A teacher at St Joseph Primary School in Mangochi district Difference Biziwick is in police custody for defiling a 17 year old form 1 Student
The incident occurred on 29th December at Namalaka Village Traditional Authority Namabvi in Mangochi District
Reports indicate that a week ago the victim had been complaining of abdominal pain and on December 29 her condition worsened therefore her mother took her to Namalaka health centre where she was diagnosed with a 3 months pregnancy which she attempted to abort
Upon questioning she revealed to have been in relationship with Biziwick since 2024 when she was a standard 8 learner at the school the suspect works
The matter was reported to Namalaka police and investigations were launched which led to a successful arrest of the suspect
Meanwhile the Biziwick who hails from Khonya Village TA Chikumbu in Mulanje has been referred to Makanjira police station
